Saltwater fishing
went down to XXXXX last week. my friend wanted me to go cause he supposedly caught many many types of species there. no choice but to follow him.
as soon as i reached, i rigged up and casted out the dead prawns. one bite, then stopped. reeled back to check, bait all gone....NOOO. ok, nevermind, rig up again and casted out. 1 bite, 2 bite. i picked up the rod to feel. i said to myself, "one more bloody pull and im hooking this bugger!" true enough, he pulled again and i made a solid strike. fish on. reeled back...................=((( what a disappointment! some small ass fish no bigger than 3 inches.
after this fish, the TRIPOD FISH started biting like some drunken fish. it was fish after fish...sian...and these buggers were tiny as well.
at around noon, my friend received a strong pull. when he reeled it up, it was a stingray and a.....OCTOPUS.
threw back the octopus and kept the nice stingray. we put it in some water and continued. about 5min later, we looked in the water and found out that the stingray had given birth.
released the baby and carried on fishing.
casted one last time. picked up the rod to feel the bite. my rod tip bent down. strike! fish on. could feel that it was a small one, but definitely bigger than the ones that i were previously catching. it actually managed to pull some line out! amazing. reeled up to find this mysterious fish.

the sting ray give brith because she was threatened(caught).. rays tend to do that, if they're pregnant of course.
don't think the baby would survive though.. haha
cheers. :D
Hello fellow fisherman,
Did you know that 16% of the U.S. population goes fishing at least 16 days a year?
Did you also know that over 75% of the nations fishermen do not fish during "prime time"; fish feeding hours?
Those precious few moments before twilight can be absolutely magical. Even up until 11pm at night, the largest predators of any species feed ravenously.
Don't believe me? Check out Daniel Eggertsen's story, and a picture of a couple of his catches here : "Evening Secrets plus more"
I want you to do me a favor and try it out so I can see what you think of it, and if it works for you as well as it did for me.
You will be one of the first to try it out.
Gone Fishin',
Neil
